Alder Forest
A Pocket Neighborhood of Perfect Little Houses
The Alder Forest Cottages are located in Eastsound on Orcas Island in Washington State. The project is comprised of eight, two bedroom cottages that front onto a pedestrian garden walkway that starts on one end at a three story, one bedroom tower. At the opposite end of the walk is an open green with a daytime pavilion that boasts a stone fireplace and covered picnic tables. For this pocket neighborhood, the developer selected eight Alder Cottages and anchored the tiny neighborhood with The Alder Tower which adds a unique character to the nearby town. The cottages are of modest size and reflect the market demands of this Island community.
